And In 1940 and 1941, The Soviet secret police officers arrested and deported “unreliable elements” hundreds of thousands of residents of eastern Poland, including thousands of Jewish refugees from Germany occupied Poland. ===
Math was never my favorite subject, and I tend to think of myself as a rejected stranger on the Planet Math — so I definitely need to read more about math. Let’s try a math teaching blog that could have some ideas for Independent Study: Homeschool Math Blog
===
Culturally, I’ll admit to being pretty ignorant about Islam, so with all the endlessly negative news and oppinions about Muslims, I wanted to read a blog from an Islamic point of view. Here’s veiled4allah.

The researchers of prague said Pluto failed to dominate its orbit around the Sun in the same way as the other planets. And that we are going to Pluto!! New Horizons was successfully launched on January 19, 2006 at 2:00pm EST. We pass Jupiter in February 2007 and get to Pluto on July 14, 2015.

CULTURE OF CHINA, THE GREAT WALL OF CHINA:

*1. Construction of the Great Wall began during the Spring and Autumn Period to the Warring States Period (770BC-221BC), Several ducal states built wall fortifications along the precipitous mountain ridges to ward off the plunder of nomadic people and the invasion of each other. In 221 BC, Qin Shi Huang ordered to link the walls up after he united China. During the following dynasties, the Great Wall was destroyed continuously by natural disasters and human beings.Amongst the remained broken pieces of walls, those constructed in Ming Dynasty are the most well-preserved and splendid ones. The Great Wall stretches some 6,300km from Jiayuguan Pass in the west to the Yalujiang River in the east, traversing 11 provinces. Also the chinese have many differant festivals such as Spring Festival, Yuanxiao Festival, Duanwu Festival, Double-seventh Day, Chongyang Festival, Qingming Festival, Mid-Autumn Fetival, Winter Solstice Festival ect. . . You get the picture.

*2. Few cultures today have lasting landmarks of their rich cultural heritage and powerful past, and even fewer have a landmark so large that it can be seen from outer space. 2000 years ago, the Chinese built a functional landmark that still stands today in all of its splendor. The Great Wall of China was originally built to keep the nomadic xiongnu away from the farming villages on the Chinese boarder, but the walls eventually became areas of great economic prosperity and great beauty. The wall was built by three main dynasties, the Qin, the Han, and the Ming. The different building styles of each dynasty show the adaptability and knowledge this culture possessed, and shows how each dynasty used energy to accomplish a common goal.

2PAC!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

http://www.2paclegacy.com/

*1. Tupac Amaru Shakur (June 16, 1971 – September 13, 1996), also known by his stage names 2Pac and Makaveli, was an American rap artist, poet and actor. He is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the best-selling rap/hip-hop artist ever!, having sold over 73 million albums worldwide, including over 44.5 million sales in the United States alone. He has been ranked by many fans, critics, and industry insiders as the ”GREATEST RAPPER EVER”! That is no lie!

He was Born in New York City, 2pac frequently found his family changing place of residence. In 1988, his family moved to California, where he would reside for the rest of his life. In 1990 he was hired as a backup dancer for the alternative rap group Digital Underground. 2pac’s debut album, 2Pacalypse Now, gained critical recognition and backlash for its controversial lyrics. 2pac became the target of many lawsuits and experienced legal problems—most notably, he was convicted of sexually assaulting a woman in 1993 although he vigorously denied the claims, AND TO ADD WAS NOT TRUE! The day before the guilty verdict was issued, 2pac was shot five times in a recording studio lobby in Manhattan. Following the incident, 2pac grew suspicious that other rappers were involved in his shooting; I think his suspictions were right on the money too! the controversy would help spark the later East Coast-West Coast feud. And man was that a big deal for many years. Some still to this day feud back & fouth! After serving eleven months of his sentence, 2pac was bailed from prison by Marion “Suge” Knight, the CEO of Death Row Records. In exchange, 2pac would release three records under the label, his fifth, double disc album All Eyez on Me counting as two. On September 7, 1996, 2pac was shot four times in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada. On September 13, 1996, six days after the shooting, 2pac died of respiratory failure and cardiac arrest in a Las Vegas local hospital.

2ac’s music addresses such topics as the hardships of growing up around violence in United States ghettos, poverty, racism, and his feuds with fellow rappers. He is known for the messages of political, economic, and racial equality that pervade his work as well as the “Thug Life” that he raps about living in. His music has attracted a large amount of controversy and was showcased in the media a number of times. He has gained a large amount of publicity for being one of the main figures in the East Coast vs. West Coast feud between his Death Row Records label and Bad Boy Records. During his lifetime, 2pac released five albums and played roles in several films. Many posthumous albums have been released under 2pac’s name.

PRESIDENT BUSH!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

http://www.whitehouse.gov/

*2. The Truth About George has diligently documented the misdeeds of Bush and his cronies since 2002, revealing the cold hard facts about an administration bent on rewarding big corporations and the rich, turning back the clock on women’s rights and civil rights, and promoting a U.S. empire abroad. Bush’s second term promises to be even worse — with an escalation of attacks on reproductive rights, the Constitution, the courts, civil rights, the economy, social security and global relations. Heres some more reasons why i hate bush!

Bush and his oligarchic companions sabotaged American democracy so they could pillage taxpayer resources.
Bush and his cabal of henchmen lied to the American people about Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq, and they continue to obfuscate the truth while their companies cash in, Iraqis suffer and American soldiers die.
Bush is bad for business and the economy. He is only interested in enriching himself and his friends.
Bush is bad for the future. He is compromising the prosperity of tomorrow’s America by shortchanging today’s children.
Bush is bad for the environment.
The Bush Administration has manipulated the media to the point of undermining the Constitutional guarantees of a Free Press.
Bush has tried to undermine the United Nations, a democratic institution created in large measure by Presidents Eisenhower and Truman. Without even understanding what the UN does, Bush has called it “irrelevant” when it fails to fall in line with his dictates.
Bush is inarticulate and projects a stereotype abroad of Americans being ignorant and myopic.
Bush torpedoes global agreements on everything from racism and global warming to biological weapons and land mines, and then expects the world to line up behind him.
Bush took positive patriotism and global support in the wake of 9/11 and forced it behind his own narrow self-interest in Iraq. He hijacked 9/11 for his own benefit.
Bush stands against everything America stands for! NOT TO MENTION BUSH IS A BULLSHITTER!!!!!!!!!! SORRY MR. MINTON I HAD TO SAY IT! LOL!

*Why did you like the one that was your favorite? What can i say? I LOVE 2PAC!

*What did you find there? I basicly found by reading ”My life” all the same old stuff i already knew about 2pac!

*Why was it a better blog than the other one? Because 2pac is MY HERO & Bush is a BULLSHITTER!!!!!!!!!!!

WEEK 1: ASSIGNMENT #1:
1) Take some time to read this brief article (click on the purple words and it will open the article in a new window) about blogging for beginners. What you’re looking at is a blog about blogging by Darren Rowse. Click on some of the links. Read some of the responses by readers. (Just as you are able to comment on my posts here at MaxLighthouse.)

2) Write three things about blogging you learned at this site that you did not know.

Be sure to write WEEK 1: Assignment #1 at the top of your paper. Not the date; just the week and assignment number.

WHAT I LEARNED ON BLOGGING:

*1. I had no idea that you can make thousands of dollars off, Six Figure Blogging. I think that it is a bit odd. But, then again, if people are really good at blogging & they want to make some cash by doing so, then “more power to them!”

*2. A blog is basicly a journal which contains anything from work related issues; to school; and to everyday discussions such as politics, goverment, science, global, art, everyday living, poems, photos even songs are applicable, ect. . . ! I think that blogging has come very far & is one of the best things that we students can use to progress in school as well as other contents.

*3. I also have learned that a blog is not just a work or class assignment, ”BUT” it is a way to be heard! Whether your blog is based on history, music or even our biggest topic of the world today ” Global Warming”! With blogs we ”CAN” be heard & we can make changes!
